Story
I successfully completed London Marathon 3hrs52minutes - thank you all for your wonderful support for myself and runners in "Team Nick".
We had a wonderful day and with your help raised a fantastic amount of money for this charity.
I have attached some new photos to share the memories of London with you.
Thank you again.
Paul.
I am running London Marathon for Dreams Come True in memory of my wonderful brother-in-law Nick Wharton. Nick loved running, and ran frequent marathons for Dreams Come True raising money for seriously and terminally ill children making their dreams come true.
Nick sadly died in September 2009 whilst out training for this forthcoming London Marathon and it is for this reason, that Rosie (his girlfriend), Madeleine (Rosie's sister), and I will be running for Nick's favourite charity in his memory.
I have run many marathons and ultra-marathons and for this reason have never troubled people for sponsorship, but this time it is imperative that we fundraise for Dreams Come True to carry on the hard work that Nick put in and to share the enjoyment he gained in doing so.
