Brian John Rooney an amazing man, my hero, my friend and most of all my dad....
You may have thought I didn't see,
Or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It's written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn't be
The woman I am today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.
I've grown up with your values,
And I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you, dear father,
From your forever grateful daughter

The plan is to cycle coast to coast on the 14th May - 17th May 2010 in memory of my father (Brian John Rooney) who sadly passed away just recently at  Dr Kershaw's Hospice on the 17th March 2010 aged 61 years old.

We will be doing the Whitehaven to Tynemouth route which is approximately 140 miles. All sponsorship received will be in aid of Dr Kershaw's Hospice.

My Father Brian was a total inspiration to himself and others in his strength, courage and bravery throughout his illness. To all those who met Brian and to all those who knew him he touched so many lives. Dr Kershaw's Hospice and the Staff enabled us to keep our promise of his dignity and I hope in rasing money for Dr Kershaw's Hospice other people will benefit from the care he received.
