Cycle Malawi
Lilongwe to Chintheche
6 - 15 September 2009
British Urological Foundation
The aim of the British Urological Foundation is to improve the management of urological disease through the development and support of medical education and sponsorship of research. This includes new diagnostic tests and treatment for prostate and bladder cancer.
We are cycling 455kms - up to 100kms per day through Malawi, over dirt roads, on some days on virtually no flat areas, through villages untouched by the western world. It will be hot and dusty with varied environments and wildlife. This is a REAL challenge to raise funds for BUF and we need your support to achieve this goal.
Prostate disease affects 75% of the male population over 50. Although in some cases prostate cancer is relatively benign and slow growing, it causes 10,000 deaths a year in the UK.
Thank you for visiting our Justgiving page.
The training is going well, although we need to raise more funds. Please help by sponsoring us. Gift aid will increase the value of each donation if you are a UK tax payer.
Many thanks!
Paul and Laura
