Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be taking part in the Tour de Furness ( www.tourdefurness.co.uk ), a 13 mile bike ride around the Furness Peninsula...... There is a 50 mile route but that will have to wait until next year- I have only just got my new bike (The last bike I had was a drop handle when i was 13!)
If you want to donate some money, and I am presuming you do as you are on this website...!!) I will tell you what I am fundraising for......
As you may or may not know, when my daughter Millie was born she had a Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) which is basically a connection between the windpipe and the foodpipe, which meant milk would go into her lungs. Millie had an operation to repair the Fistula when she was 8 days old, and gave us more than our fair share of scares in the six weeks she was in hospital. We had to keep a very close eye on Millie for the first couple of years of her life due to TOF related eating and breathing (especially when she got a cold...!) difficulties.
I am doing the bike ride 2 days before Millie's 4th birthday, and we are really happy that despite everything she went through, she is growing up into a beautiful (and very artistic!) little girl.
