Story
Welcome to my JustGiving page.
On April 7th I am running the Paris Marathon in memory of my Dad, Paul Birchall (he's the one in the red shirt in the photo).
Sadly my Dad was suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease and he passed away just before Easter last year. The last few years were a struggle and I don't know how my Mum would have managed without all the help from The Collins Unit (Age UK Canterbury).
The Collins Unit provides a superb day care facility for Alzheimer's sufferers allowing their spouses some very much needed respite. They are the most wonderful team of enthusiastic and sensitive carers you can imagine. In this bleak economic climate they desperately need more funding so please dig deep and help me to raise as much as possible for this truly deserving special unit.
I am training very hard and am determined to finish in under 4 hrs (and aiming for 3hr 45 min). I guarantee every donation will will push me to work harder to achieve my goal.
All the money raised will go directly to The Collins Unit.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thank you all.
