Four crazy individuals, Lesley Harte, Danny Kane, Shaun Gibson & Donna MacLellan (Team Peru) have decided to trek to Machu Picchu in Peru via the Lares Trail in aid of the fantastic, marvellous and awesome Lanarkshire Charity…St. Andrew’s Hospice.
For those of you who have not heard of St. Andrew’s Hospice before…it is an amazing place which provides specialist palliative care services to those in need and is open to all, without distinction of race, gender, or creed. It is Lanarkshire’s only Specialist Hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families, and carers. You may not quite believe this, but in order for St. Andrew’s Hospice to continue providing its remarkable services, it has to raise a phenomenal £44,000 every single week! That is a massive amount of money to raise and Team Peru hopes that by accepting the overwhelming challenge to trek to Machu Picchu that we can raise as much money as possible for St. Andrew’s Hospice.
