For some uknown reason call it a mid-life crisis, proving a point, bravado or stupidity!!! I have entered the 2010 VIRGIN LONDON MARATHON, all joking aside I have been thinking of running the London Marathon for a couple of years and every year  its been on T.V have said " I'm going to enter this year" but never got round to entering, so before I get too old, fat and grey!!(one out of three isn't bad!) I entered........and guess what, yeah I got a place!.

I will be running for a charity called ESSEX DISABLED SPORTS FOUNDATION, this is a registerd charity (number 1001176) which raises money to provide sports equipment, coaching and tuition, the hire of sports halls and the funding of outings and adventure type holidays for disabled children in the area.Taking part in sport increases the children’s self confidence, physical development and self esteem and helps them meet challenges that they may face later in life.

NOW the awkward bit, I know there's a recession on and Christmas is just around the corner but if you would like to sponsor me for whatever amount YOU want then I would be extremely grateful as I am sure the charity would. I will keep you posted as to how training is going and will update the page with some photos of me suffering during and after the training sessions!!
