My story
Hello there.
In September I am going to be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge as part of a 12 man (and woman) team. The aim is to reach the summit of the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. We will start in Fort William and tackle Ben Nevis first, then Scafell Pike in the Lake District before finishing off with Snowdon in North Wales.
We're completing this challenge in aid of The Sick Childrens Trust; a charity which helps sick and unwell children ensure their parents and family can stay nearby during their treatment. The Sick Childrens Trust provides home from home accomodation for parents and families of children with serious illness. The organiser of our group is a nurse, and everyday witnesses the valuable work this charity does. She has pledged to raise £21,000 by 2012 for the charity and is organising many events, of which our Three Peaks Challenge is just one!

The Sick Children's Trust provides Home from Home accommodation for the families of sick children whilst they receive vital medical treatment in hospital often far from home. Families are able to stay together close to their child and offer each other essential support during a difficult and distressing time.
