Thank you all very much for supporting our Jungfrau Marathon effort in aid of the Jubilee Sailing Trust . The result: a fantastic race, we both finished in 5 hours 43 min, well within the time limit. It certainly lived up to its name as "the world's most beautiful marathon." The total raised so far is very impressive so thanks again to all for supporting this charity so generously!
The only problem was that so many people seemed to have done it so many times and for some three mountain marathons a year is the goal - that's Zermatt, Jungfrau and Liechtenstein!
A fuller report will follow in a day or so!.
The Jubilee Sailing Trust is a wonderful charity started in 1978 whose mission is to change lives by giving disabled people the chance to sail specially designed tall ships with able bodied people and break down barriers relating to disability. See http://www.jst.org.uk/
Please give what you can to make this effort worthwhile for others!
The story is that David Corker persuaded me to celebrate 10 years of Corker Binning and a combined 100 years on earth by running this marathon. So far so good, only it is all UPHILL! See it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2fZCP78UaM.
Wise counsel (James Hines) did advise the Bordeaux or Champagne marathons and I thought NY might be nice, but too late; he'd already entered us!
With thanks to all who've supported the long training runs; not least to the Hare and Hounds at Stoughton for much needed water stops and Martine and Caroline at London City Physiotherapy as well as Holly the dog! Our partners, Nicola Finnerty and Robert Brown both ran the 2002 London marathon with us but are both sensibly playing a supporting role this time!

So please donate something now. If you also guess our time correctly you stand to win a bottle of champagne. As a guide the record for low level marathons is around 2 hours; this one is 3 hours! We're aiming to finish within the 6 hour time limit!
