My story

Dear Friends,

This year I will run the London Marathon in aid of a charity called Whizz-Kidz.  A charity that means a great deal to me personally and their cause hits home for my family.

Seven years ago my nephew Craig was born 14 weeks premature.  Before long it was evident that he had not escaped his early arrival unscathed.  Craig was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and a challenging path lay ahead of him.  Learning difficulties, numerous organ and bone operations and an inability, as yet, to be able to walk have hindered his opportunity to be a child of his age…that is, until now!

Recently his parents sourced a chair from Germany designed especially for him.  Light enough for him to steer on his own and even more importantly; tall enough to bring him eye-level with his peers; his new wheels have completely changed his life!

Unfortunately not all parents have the means to provide mobility solutions for their children in need.  Whizz-Kidz steps in and makes the dreams of these children a reality.  Please help me empower Whizz-Kidz with the funds necessary to continue their incredible work.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.

Many thanks for your generous support.

Pete

My updates 1

I'm in awe of the incredible generosity shown by friends, family and strangers alike. From an initial target of £2,000, this is the 4th time that I have raised the bar! Thank you all on behalf of Whizz-Kidz!
