Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

We believe in families, not orphanages. We’re helping Uganda reimagine care so that no child anywhere need ever experience an orphanage again. We help repurpose orphanages into services that people really need, keeping families together, reuniting families or finding new ‘forever families’.

Story

Hello
Yes I'm running again. Probably be my last marathon - so I hope you can make a donation for me one more time.
I am running in support of the Child's i Foundation, which was founded in 2008 as a charity and worldwide community  to build a home for abandoned babies in Uganda.
Aiming to resettle children back into families and give them a loving home, its work is carried out across a three-part model: a support programme to help mothers at risk of abandoning babies; a transitional home to provide short-term life saving care; and a family placement programmed to ensure every child grows up with care.
My friend Ian is currently out there working at the home. It's literally as we speak just opened and received it's first babies.
Anyway check out their website http://www.childsifoundation.org/ - full of videos and information about the charity. Maybe you can also get involved to help them - there are lots of suggestions on the website.
All donations of whatever amounts are hugely appreciated.
Thank you
Peter
