Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having sweated through Madagascar and frozen my way around Patagonia you would think I could have learnt my lesson by now! But no! Here we go again into Africa. OK it is not deepest darkest Africa, it is Cape Town's environs, not exactly unknown territory for me. But I made the organisers include 3 mountain passes this time so it will be a challenging ride indeed. As you can see from the photos there is time for some fun as well and we make secure friendships along the way. We also help a local charity in some way as well.
The Urology Foundation is unique in its approach to sponsoring young doctors to undergo specialist training in overseas institutions and this knowledge is ploughed back into the NHS for all patients. I should know; they let me get to Prof Indy Gill to learn laparoscopy in 2002! The charity is run very tightly and there is no waste of funding so the money you give goes where it is intended. And the Chair is riding with us to experience saddle sores first hand
When next in the rooms or at hospital ask to see the video of Patagonia. I will try to have it handy somewhere for display.
Thanks for all your help and generosity now and in the past.
