Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I always had something approaching an ambition to run a marathon one day but always found some excuse or other to justify putting it off. But when my Dad passed away in 2012 it gave me the motivation I needed as I want to raise some money for a charity fighting to stop the disease that cut his life short.

Recently my aunt also lost her life to Blood Cancer which only served as a further boost to try and do something.

As it turns out a marathon is a bloody long way to run. Although it's given me the opportunity to listen to a lot of cracking podcasts the training has been boring, cold and at times painful. Your sponsorship will really help make it all worthwhile.

Here's some blurb from the website..."Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity."
