My personal message:

I am cycling coast to coast across Sri Lanka in October to raise money for the International Child Trust - 500km in 5 days. I must be mad!

ICT is a small London charity which focuses on helping the most disadvantaged children that are often displaced by war, famine and/or AIDS, with a focus on Africa and Asia. Current work is mainly done in Cambodia, Kenya, Sri Lanka and India.

This trip will help raise vital funds needed in the aftermath of the Asian Tsunami. Sri Lanka was one of the countries hardest hit, with over 38,000 people killed and at least 860,000 more displaced. It left parts of this island nation completely destroyed and will cost millions of pounds to rebuild. The tsunami also left many thousands of children homeless and without their parents.

Your donation will fund ICT's work towards the long-term rehabilitation of children, their families and their communities in Sri Lanka.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Childcare Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now!
