Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From the 28 May to 1 June 2011 I have agreed to walk the 87 miles of Hadrians Wall (West to East) for charity. To make things more difficult the two of us who are doing the walk have agreed to carry all our equipment (tents, food, clothes etc). Only 5% of walkers do it this way, most other walkers join organised groups who take your equipment in a van from campsite to campsite.
The charity I have decided to raise funds for is the Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance (PAPAA).
Psoratic Arthritis can be a debilatating disease for sufferers and the PAPAA offers support and advice to people diagnosed with the disease as well as providing funding for research that will make "here and now" positive changes to the lives of people with the condition.
On a personal level, my wife was diagnosed with psoratic arthritis a few years ago and my brother in law has also been diagnosed with the disease.
Thanks for your support
Philip
