My story
22/01/2012 Update
Hi again. So 5 weeks to go and training is going well. I'm feeling happy and confident that I'll be able to do my target of 5 hours (if not better) come the run.
Thanks to Peter Kennan at the DPS for his help in promoting the run. It's fantastic to see so many people have donated already and I'm 22% of the way there already. I hope to do you all proud.
Incidentally an interesting side effect of this running is I've dropped over 2kg (about 4 n half pounds) since the start of the year

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm a DPS Life Member running the Malta Marathon on 26 February 2012. Born in 1973 and so will be 39 in April and I hope after extensive training to be able to get around the 26 miles in 5 hours.
I'm hoping that every DPS member will be able to get behind me and raise some money to assist with the return to the main line of Alycidon. Every bit helps and even £1 would make a difference.
If you sponsor me, you can think of me running round the beautiful Mediterranean island in glorious weather before relaxing with a nice beer in a local bar. It doesn’t sound too bad apart from the 26 mile bit!
My charity
Deltic Preservation Society
Charity Registration No. 1098733
We restore and maintain Deltic diesel railway locomotives. The Deltics were the first diesels in the UK to operate at 100mph and have very high power to weight ratio. The DPS has three Deltics and needs to continue to raise funds to keep them operational.
