5 years ago I said I would never run a marathon again! - but in that time I've forgotten all the pain and only remember the fantastic atmosphere and support from that day. So on 25th April I will be running the London Marathon again.
This time I have been lucky enough to be given a place through the ballot - which has given me the opportunity to raise some money for a charity of my choice. I have chosen a small fantastic charity called Helping Africa 100. It was set up to help support small, sustainable, long-term projects in Tanzania and is so called as 100% of donations go straight to these projects - all costs and administration is personally funded by the trustees. More information on this great charity and the work they do can be found here http://www.helpingafrica100.org/about_us.html
This may not be a charity with which you are familiar - but all donations, no matter how big or small really do make a difference - so it would be fantastic if you were able to support them in any way you can and help me though this marathon. I have been training since January and it would be great to see the hard work pay off. Remember - every single penny you donate will go straight to where it is needed, no admin or other costs to cover.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. It’s the most efficient way to donate.
Any amount will make a difference - thanks for your support!
