Hi guys and Girls

As most of you know, I am a sporting Christian and so because of this I want to raise money for Game of two halves and CIS (Christians in Sport). Game of two halves does work in India and Uganda. My girlfriend has recently been out to see the work, first hand, so I shall share a small bit about their work.

Game of two Halves support the Sangita trust an orphanage of 87 children aged 2-5. Raising the Children in a life they would never have known, whilst teaching them the good news of Christ. They have recently expanded and are looking to buy a new orphanage for slightly older children as the other orphanages in the area are not of a high enough standard (that is where the Children would have been moving on to).

They also support 100 Dalit widows from the surrounding villages, by every month providing them with rice, daal, sugar and medicines. This love is countercultural as the widows are used to being rejected in their villages and treated like lepers, being forced to live in a seperate area to everyone else. Sangita Trust are looking to help these rejected widows and welcome them in with love and kindness.

Christians in sport will also be receiving some of the money (game of two halves is run by CIS). This charity are reaching the world of sport for Christ supporting and equipping Christians to play sport for Christ.

I Hope this gives you an insight into the work of these two great charities you will be supporting.

Now down to business......1 bike-1009 miles-5 days .......Two legs-26.2 miles-3hours.

From Calais to Budapest starting on Monday the 29th and finishing on the Friday the cycle will be horrendous. If i manage to cycle 20 miles an hour a day (not likely) I would spend 10 hours in the saddle a day. I then pick up all my marathon stuff up on saterday and run the budapest marathon on the Sunday (aiming to get under 3 hours). the whole time except on the friday and Saturday night I will be sleeping in just a bivy bag and a sleeping bag. (no tent to keep the weight down)

This will not be enjoyable and I expect to be pushing my body every step of the way.
