Story
In October 2011, completely out of the blue, a member of our lovely staff was diagnosed with Grade 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the breast. Just weeks later, our founders wife, Anna, was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ of the breast. These women happen to be sisters and were just 34 and 41 years old at the time.
They're just two of the 55,000 women (and men) who are told the heartbreaking news that they have breast cancer, every year in the UK.
After some hardcore surgery and 7 months of almost crippling chemotherapy, they are now both in remission and fighting hard to get back to normal life at home and at Pixel8 HQ.
Breast Cancer Care is a charity that is clearly very close to our hearts. So much so that 8 of us at Pixel8 have agreed, in a blur of madness/courage to carry out all sorts of ridiculous tasks to raise some money to help the people who have also received this horrible news.
If you think you can help our very special cause then please, please feel free to help us out.
We all appreciate every penny and sincerely thank you very much.
Love,
Pixel8
