Story
There are over one billion people in the World without water. No one person can solve that problem but we can each take one step, one day at a time. This is our big step in 2010. We need you to take one step and donate money.
In November 2010 a team of three cyclists from Fujitsu each cycled 400KM in South Africa to fund a PlayPump® Water System installation in a rural African school.
'Stop press PlayPump 2 was installed on June 12th at Maminza primary school near Nelspruit in South Africa so we are carrying on fund raising for PlayPump 3'
It made us very proud so we are going to do it all over again in 2011 and deliver sustainable water to another school - expected to be in Malawi.
The PlayPump is a life-changing and life-saving invention..."As children spin and play on the roundabout, fresh clean water is pumped from deep underground into a storage tank and then to taps. This simple idea is changing the lives of thousands of African people. But PlayPumps provide much more than just water, access to water means education, hygiene, health, and nutrition.
