We both decided to trek Mount Kilimanjaro because there is no actual technical skill required to reach the summit infact no climbing at all just lots and lots of walking (7 days in all).

Kilimanjaro is a bizarre geological oddity which stands proudly alone on the plains of Africa a few degrees south of the equator. It is 40km across and 5895m high - that is 19,340ft in old money.
