We all served in The Queen's Gurkha Engineers in Hong Kong in the 1980s and have remained close friends ever since. We also enjoy a challenge! TRAILWALKER (100kms in 24 hours) originated in Hong Kong and was an annual event during our service, so what better way to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust than by completing the UK TRAILWALKER 2014 now that we have all retired. It remains to be seen whether dodgy knees, hips and ankles survive the South Downs Way - but we will give it our best shot in support of an outstanding charity.
