My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Queen's Regiment is one of the oldest in the British Army and still exists today as part of the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment. On the 24th March 2012, re-enactors representing the Queen's Regiment throughout its 350 year history, alongside soldiers from the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment will be taking part in a sponsored march to raise money for the PWRR Benevolent Fund and the Army Benevolent Fund.
We, alongside serving members of the PWRR, will be marching in period costume through Godalming to Bramley. This is a distance of aproximately 5 miles or so. With last year marking the 350th anniversary of the regiment's formation in 1661, this is a great opportunity to see nearly 4 centuries of one regiment together.
All proceeds will go to help provide support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need. The people we support include those with disabilities or mental illness, people experiencing homelessness or unemployment, and older people.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
