Youth charity The Prince's Trust needs to raise £1 million a week in order to help change young lives in the UK. The Trust gives practical and financial support, developing skills such as confidence and motivation. It works with 14-30 year olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. Since 1976 The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped over half a million young people and continues to support 100 more every day.

We have bravely entered The Princes Trust Summit to Sea Challenge across Borneo in October 2007

The four team members are Stuart MacBride, Mike Leng, Kieran Costello and James Freeman. This challenge is going to be the hardest thing any of us has ever done and will require a great deal of preparation and training.

The Princes Trust themselves say the following:-

'This is a tough Challenge and you will need to be very well prepared for it physically. You will need to train across all disciplines so that you are equally competent at trekking up mountains and cycling both on and off road, and so that you build upper body strength for the rafting, and good overall stamina to cope with the heat and the altitude. You will be taking part in hard physical activity and the weather will be very hot and humid, although it will get quite cold as you climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu.'......

Each member of the team is committed to raising a minimum of £3000 in sponsorship and we all appreciate your support for this very worthwhile charity.

The Princes Trust helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, they help 14-30 year olds realise their potential and transform their lives.
