In just a few frighteningly short weeks my sister, Fiona, and I are participating in the Run to the Beat Half-Marathon to raise money for a really great cause...
Briefly, the charity we're raising money for does fantastic work in Ethiopia working closely with local community associations in poor slums to improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children. The schools, libraries, and youth clubs set by these associations provides invaluable financial and emotional support to thousands of underprivileged kids.
The race takes place around Greenwich and the Royal park - not exactly known for its flat expanses! So we're just hoping for a nice cool day and to complete the race in a respectable time. We'd also love it if you were able to come and cheer us round!
I know nobody's got stacks of cash lying around at the moment but ANY donation is hugely appreciated (even those few pennies down the back of your sofa).
