In summer 2011 I visited Kosova for the first time with Smile International through the Girls' Brigade. Smile is a fantastic charity that works hands on with hundreds of disadvantaged children, families and widows across the world.
The two weeks we spent in Kosova were enough for me to fall in love with the country and I booked my return trip just days after landing back in the UK.
For the trip to take place I need to raise around £1100 to give as a donation to Smile International.
My first trip was a life changing experience that opened my eyes to the effects of war and how the people of the country are still affected years after the war has officially ended.
In the four weeks I will be spending in Kosova, leaving on the 19th November. I will be working with and supporting local projects, schools and churches, visiting widows who lost their husbands and sometimes whole families during the Kosovan war and helping with the aid distribution, including the distribution of Christmas Shoeboxes.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
