Hey Guys...

I will be abseiling off the Liver Buildings on the 10th July in aid of the wonderful Claire House Children’s Hospice. 

However this isn’t just any old "please sponsor me" plea...I’m asking you instead to buy a duck!  Ok, not a real duck, I think I’d be violating some RSPCA laws if I tried to do that, instead a little plastic duck, for just £2, which then gets entered into a duck race on the day!

How does that work your thinking? 

Well you can buy 1 duck or 100 ducks they are just £2 each, and then these are entered into a race with lots of other ducks in the Mersey after the abseil, and the person who owns the winning duck will get £3000! Not bad eh!

So, please sponsor me in multiples of £2 (eg.  £2 for x 1 duck, £4 for x 2 ducks...£100 for x 50 ducks!) and then I will allocate you the unique number(s) of your duck(s)!  (I can look after these for you, or send them to you, just let me know which you prefer).

Why?

As many of you will know, Claire House holds an extra special place in my heart, as my niece Holly has been going there for the past 8 yrs.  It is a extraordinary place that gives amazing children and their families a lot of happiness and special memories…I know as a family things over the past 8 yrs would have been a lot harder without it.  Claire House gives children like Holly who have complex health needs, the opportunity to enjoy simples things that we may other wise take for granted…(have a look at the pics for some examples of this!!!).

Claire House only receives a miniscule amount of funding from the government, which means they rely heavily on donations…SO…please dig deep and buy some ducks and in return I'll be abseiling down a really really high building (ok, palms sweating as I'm typing this) even though I’m petrified of heights…but its all in aid of a fantastic cause CLAIRE HOUSE CHILDRENS HOSPICE!
