Story
I am running the Bristol Half Marathon in memory of my friend Frankie Warren - and also for anyone else who has been affected by mental health.
Frankie was a good friend from school - she was beautiful, fun, and always so full of life. Sadly she died last year, aged 26, after suffering with depression. I miss her so much - and wish there was something I could have done to help her.
My reason for choosing to do the Bristol Half Marathon is because Frankie was once a keen runner who had done the race with her family. I have chosen to run for SANE because the charity does amazing work supporting people with illnesses like depression - and also tackling the stigma around mental health, particularly with the Black Dog Campaign.
I used to absolutely hate running at school - and actually I don't like it much more now! But I am determined to do this for Frankie, her family and friends - to raise awareness of mental health illness, because nobody should suffer in silence.
Thank you for visiting my page - and for your support.
