Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp in March 2019, taking the challenging 14 day Gokyo Lake circuit route that traverses glaciers, camping with expedition teams overnight at Everest Base Camp at 5364m, and hiking to a height of 5554m at Kala Pattar.
I have decided to raise money for the Royal Berks Charity for a number of reasons. As many of you will know, I have worked at the Royal Berks Hospital since qualifying as a Physiotherapist many years ago. I could think of no better way to mark my 10th year at the Berks than raising money for the fabulous Charity.
The Royal Berks Charity helps provide the extras that make a difference to patients, their visitors and our staff. Donations help: provide better facilities for patients and visitors; buy the most up to date equipment; improve staff training & welfare; support rebuilding & refurbishment projects.
Throughout my time at the Berks I have seen the Charity help so many fantastic causes to improve the services we provide patients and visitors. Without people's generous contributions, this wouldn't be possible. I am passionate about the work the hospital, and its Charity does: I was born at the Berks and it's my local hospital and that of my friends and family. Please help support the cause and give what you can. Thank you.
