So a few years ago I had this great idea about cycling from to and now that it's actually happening I'm thinking it's not such a brilliant idea.
Firstly, I've discovered that I'm bored senseless by it and that cycling for eight hours a day doesn't half hurt my bottom;
Secondly, I'm really, really rubbish at hills;
And thirdly, as I have to carry everything I need for the trip I'm going to have to survive for three days in without a hairdryer. Now that is pain!
And so I'm thinking that if I'm going to have to deal with aching limbs, saddle sore and unruly helmet hair then the least you could do is donate a bit of dosh to a very good charity.
I'm cycling all 218 miles (over four days with three mates) for Wellbeing of Women, a women's health charity who fund pioneering and much-needed research that saves lives.
So please dig deep and splash the cash for a good cause.
Thanks!
PS: here's the small print....
