This June (2011) we are going to be volunteering with the Gwalior Childrens Charity in India. This charity provides essential care that would otherwise be unattainable for the poor, underprivileged and destitute children of Gwalior.
We will be working with severely handicapped children, a hospice for children with HIV, teaching in the on-site school and get the chance to visit slums and rural villages in the charities mobile clinic.
In order to make our trip possible, and be able to contribute towards such a fantastic cause, we have been requested to raise around £2000 each. This donation will go towards improving and providing healthcare and education for the children in the region.
Gwalior Childrens Charity is an independent organisation, which doesn't receive any funding other than the very kind donations from members of the public like yourselves. Therefore any amount you can afford to donate, however big or small will be much appreciated by us and the children of Gwalior and Chambal region in India.
