The laziest Luchoo is gonna do a half marathon…???!!!

That’s right after years of blatant laziness and insisting on driving everywhere, even the 15 Minute walk to Uni I have decided to get into shape and run a half marathon for charity (along with pressure from my boss). Over my 4 years at University I walked a grand total of 3 times - zoomin past all the people on foot in the delightful low-riding Chavtastic toy cars. So as you can imagine my legs have not had much use over the years, and they are now currently in training to do the Robin Hood Run in Nottingham on the 13th of September amongst 7,000 other people.

The run is 13 MILES. I attempted to run 6 miles in the gym last week and failed miserably after 3 miles and hobbled home from the gym. With my feet covered in blisters I resorted to driving to Uni the next day …Again! Rest assured however, I have bought some posh trainers (and socks) that I am praying will solve all my problems and carry me through the race (I think am dreaming). 

Going to Mauritius for a month holiday in August is also not the brightest idea I have in terms of training but I have sold it to myself that I will be getting up at silly o’clock in the morning, downing a couple of raw eggs, putting on my bright red shorts (and nothing else) and running along the beach . . . BAYWATCH styleee! Though your all probably picturing a hairy, chubby ape drenched in sweat, bouncing along the beach thinking Put some bloody clothes on!

I am hoping to complete the run in under 2 hours (a very difficult time for a amateur runner) and was originally doing the run with Mr Jamie Barnes who has kindly decided to back out of it because it was too tough for him (Boo Jamie!!!). Many people have chosen to double their money if I hit the target (Unlikely) So “Round up Round up, place your bets”!

CharityWater is a non-profit charity that is trying to bring water to developing countries and the video says it all! And no its not one of those depressing guilt ridden videos, its even got JAZZY MUSIC so please please watch it!

We all take things for granted, (I cant even be bothered walking to Uni… never mind walking miles for some water!) So I think this is a brilliant charity worth donating to. Just £12 can provide clean water for someone for 20 years. I’m sure most of you can scrape atleast a fiver or tenner, I mean lets face it - you manage to get it together and get drunk on a night out when your broke! 

SHAVE MY HEAD!!! - that’s right! If the total raised surpasses the 500 pound mark I will sadly shed my head of my precious locks. Note that my head has never had the pleasure of seeing the sun in its lifetime and is therefore paler than Nicola from girls aloud and I will undoubtedly be fake baking my head like its going out of fashion. I have a sneaking suspicion that I have a funny shaped head and so will be making a right spectacle of myself doing the run. And yes the bounty is high but I don’t wanna shave my head :-D. Oh and there’s a high chance my mum will KILL ME as she warned me never to do it! But hey...I still have my bob hats!
