Go Help - Roof of the World Rally 2013 · 14 July 2013 to 14 August 2013 ·

Go Help is a UK registered charity that works with local communities in Central Asia to improve their access to healthcare and education services. Go Help fundraises for its projects by challenging people to undertake incredible adventures like the Mongolia Charity Rally and Roof of the World Rally.

Story

The Roof of the World Rally is a journey from London to Dushanbe, the Capital of Tajikistan. The charity rally is organised annually to raise funds for charity work by Go Help! in Tajikistan. The vehicle that is taken is also donated to charity, with the hope that emergency vehicles such as ambulances form the majority of the contributions.

The challenge this year has been taken up by Team RedDragon, which is Ruth Salomon and Ed Hughes.  We are representing Wales on this 6000 miles journey and would like your help.

We hope to raise more than £1500 for charity and donate a four-wheel-drive ambulance to a hospital in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  The route will go through Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, finishing by taking the Roof of the World Highway through the Pamir Mountains in Tajikistan.  This is the second highest international highway in the world, reaching heights of 4,655m (15,270ft). The journey is likely to cover 6000 miles.

The money is being raised for Go Help!  Go Help is a UK registered charity that is committed to working with local communities in Central Asia to improve their access to education and healthcare services. They run Charity Rallies which fundraise for charitable projects in Tajikistan.
