Dear all,

Those of you who know me well will be well aware of my lack of natural athletic ability.You may therefore be surprised at my choice to run 13.5 miles on Sunday morning that also happens to be my 29th Birthday!(usually I would be getting ready to head out to a swanky restaurant to have nice food and even nicer wine....)

The reason Ive decided to do this run is to raise awareness and hopefully a bit of money towards a cause that is close to my heart and that of many others I know well - Bobath Children Centre Wales.

Taliesin(see above very cute photo!)-the son of close friends of mine-has Cerebral Diplegia.He turned 18 months in June and at this time was unable to sit alone or crawl let alone walk.In June Taliesin attended the Bobath Children`s Centre Wales in Cardiff for the first time.Since then,with the support of the physiotherapy and other services provided at the centre, he has learnt to crawl and is now able to stand and walk with a frame.

The help and support that Bobath Children`s Centre Wales provides to children like Taliesin and their families is invaluable and I hope that doing this race and raising a little awareness and money will help enable this service to continue.

I`r rhai ohonoch sy`n fy nabod yn dda fe fydd fy niffyg talent athletig naturiol yn amlwg!Byddech felly falle yn ystyried pam yn y byd dwi wedi penderfynnu rhedeg 13.5 milltir ar fore Sul yn yr Hydref sydd hefyd yn digwydd bod yn benblwydd arna i yn 29!(baswn fel arfer yn paratoi at fynd mas am bryd o fwyd hyfryd a glasied bach o win....)

Y rheswm felly yw mod i a`r bwriad o godi ymwybyddiaeth a gobeithio peth arian tuag at achos sy`n agos at fy nghalon i a nifer o bobl dwi`n eu hadnabod-Canolfan Plant Bobath Cymru.

Mae gan Taliesin(gwellwch y llun hyfryd uchod!)-mab ffrindiau agos i mi- Cerebral Diplegia.Fe drodd yn ddeunaw mis ym mis mehefin ac ar y pryd hynny nid oedd yn medru eistedd i fyny heb gymorth neu cropian,heb son am ystyried cerdded.Fe fynychodd Taliesin Canolfan Plant Bobath Cymru am y tro cyntaf ym mis Mehefin.Ers hynny, gyda chymorth a physiotherapi wedi ei ddarparu gan y ganoflan mae wedi dysgu i eistedd,cropian ac mae nawr yn medru cerdded gyda help ffram.

Mae`r gefnogaeth sy`n cael ei ddarparu i blant fel Taliesin a`u teuluoedd gan y ganolfan yn werth y byd.Dwi`n gobeithio wrth godi ymwybyddiaeth a peth arian y bydd yn help i barhau`r gwasanaeth gwerthfawr hwn.
