Welcome...

Aiding local communities in Brazil during my last three years in high school has made me aware of how gratifying and important it is, not only to those who are being helped, but to my personal development.  With this, I have decided to continue helping those in need throughout the duration of my degree at University.  However, this time round, I have chosen quite a different way of doing so.

After giving it plenty of thought, I have decided to participate in 'The Great Warwick Jump' (http://www.chooseachallenge.com/jump/warwick/).  For those who have not opened the website: I will be skydiving out of an aircraft at 12,000ft, for a charity I have chosen.

All the money you help me raise will go to 'The Right to Play': an athlete-driven international humanitarian organisation that uses sport and play as a tool for development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged areas of the world.  I have chosen this organisation because I strongly believe in their aim to improve the lives of children affected by poverty, war and disease by setting up sport and play programmes.  Their programmes are currently implemented in 24 countries: Azerbaijan, Benin, Chad, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, United Arab Emirates and Zambia. More information can be found on: http://www.righttoplay.org.uk.

Donations can be made via this website, or if you rather meet me on campus, please feel free to email me at R.C.Messina@warwick.ac.uk

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Fundraising page, I am very grateful for any donations you decide to make (so please dig deep and donate!)
