My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
10 years ago (2001/2002 season) I was lucky enough to run with the former Leicester City player and current club ambassador Alan "The Birch" Birchenall MBE at the very last match played at Filbert Street. I ran for 90 mins (50 laps) before the Leicester City v Spurs fixture which Leicester city won 2 v 1 with Matt Piper scoring the winner. I managed to raise £800 for local charities.
I have been given the opportunity to run with the Birch before the Leicester City v West Ham match on Monday 23rd April, and I am hoping to support the Birch to help raise as much money as possible for local charities for Birch’s "One In A Million Campaign", and I am hoping to complete 51 laps in 90 minutes.
The one in a million beneficiaries of the monies raised will be donated to Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance, Leicester's children's hospital, Lord Mayors appeal (Royal Anglian Regiment benevolent fund), LOROS, PROSTaid, Rainbows, Harley Staples Cancer Trust, Age UK and Wishes for kids.
It would be great if I could raise more than 10 years ago; I would really appreciate it if you would support me and sponsor me in my quest to raise as much cash as possible.
