After two weeks hard training (relaxing in France with a glass or two of wine!) I'll be doing the Manchester 100 mile cycle ride on 6th September in aid of Hope HIV.
Hope do fantastic work with orphans of AIDS in Africa. There are more AIDS orphans in Africa than there are children in the UK! They work with local partners across sub-Saharan Africa, providing housing, education and emotional support to these children.
What sets them apart and inspires me to get on my bike is that they invest in developing the leadership skills of these kids, so that they can go on to change their communities from the inside.
If you want to know more about their work have a look at their website - HopeHIV.org
Thanks
Richard
P.S. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the Hope HIV.
