On Saturday 22nd August we completed the canoe adventure between Woking and Guildford in a marathon of fitness
and teamwork.
The route was treacherous, though dangerous Surrey countryside with snakes, longboats and walkers with dogs to
contend with. Not to mention all the students if we do actually get to Guildford!
Our paddle snapped after only half a mile, then Councillor Norman appeared from nowhere in his canoe, and
graciously lent us his expensive paddle. He also gave us some amazing canoing tips without which
we would be still be paddling in circles...........
