Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page which has been set-up by close friends and family of the late Richard Lillico.
We tragically lost Richard through alcohol addiction at the age of 32 in April of this year.
It's exceptionally hard to try to pay tribute to Richard in only a few words so I will just say it from my perspective...
There were two Richards, Richard our great friend who was gorgeous, talented, full of spirit and who made our teenage years the BEST and then sadly Richard as the alcoholic. Although from his late teenage years, he was clearly tortured by his addiction to alcohol, Richard somehow managed to maintain his quick wit throughout the dark times. Richard continued to make his friends smile and laugh as best we could even at the end, despite his suffering.
My memories though will always be of our teenage years, the hysterical laughter, the endless cups of tea, U2 blasting on his walkman and a great handsome guy who we loved very much and who never obeyed the rules!
His memory will live on through us all and hopefully through the fundraising initiatives his friends are organising we can provide some support and comfort to his fantastic family and raise money to aid research into addiction so others can be helped in the future in way that Richard sadly couldn't.
