Head Shave to Donate My Hair · 11 June 2018

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hi Everyone

In 2016 when the European football championship was on, my eldest child made a slightly odd request.

He said, "dad can you grow your hair like Gareth Bale?"

So I said yes and thought it wouldn't take too long.  One year later and my son had totally forgot about his request, but I was eventually able to put my hair into a Top Knot.

Instantly, I realised I wasn't going to be able to pull that look off, so I was in a dilemma.

It was then I decided I would donate my hair to Princess Wigs after previously attending a head shaving event which raise over £2000, but also, like many other people, I have had people close to me who have had cancer.

Another year on and my hair is now long enough so it can be used to make a wig. So on Monday 11th June 2018, I will be going to Barber Jon's in Llantrisant, and having my head completely shaved, with the hope that I will raise some funds for The Little Princess Trust and Cancer Research Wales.

Anything you can give is much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your support.
