Hi, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  This year I am taking part in the Great Swim series, 4 one mile swims in lakes and rivers around the UK, Alton Water in Ipswich (19th June), London Victoria Dock (3rd July), Strathclyde Leisure Lake (21st August) and Lake Windermere (4th September). 

11 years ago my wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer and having been promptly diagnosed and treated is one of the survivors.  Having raised funds for national cancer charities in previous years of Great Swims and Great North Runs I have been persuaded to do this year's 4 swims for a charity local to my place of work, the very worthy Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust.  Please give generously to this charity providing much needed first line equipment to diagnose and treat cancer for the people of Doncaster.
