SPONSOR RICHARD TO RUN 5km DRESSED AS A SANTA
After months of training (in the next ten days), I am now the ideal physical shape to dress as a Father Christmas and run 5km to support the Blood Pressure Association - a UK charity that supports the one in four adults suffering with blood pressure problems.
To be clear, 5km dressed as a Santa Claus is no small challenge for someone whose natural habitat is definitely not squeezing through narrow chimneys (or any small spaces, for that matter).
I will be one of about a 1000 (more shapely) Father Christmas' running on 6th December for charity: so if you want to emotionally disturb your kids forever, come down to Greenwich Park on Sunday 6th December to cheer us all on - but better still, show your support for the more rotundly shaped runners and sponsor yours truly to help raise a few quid for a decent charity - as one in four of those reading this may well either know, or will know, exactly what it feels like to suffer from high blood pressure.
Thanks for your support. It's not everyday to get to encourage a perfectly formed Father Christmas to run for charity!
Richard
