Story
Later this year, I will be flying off to India to endeavor on a 400km cycle ride. This will be one the hardest and most grueling ‘off-the-beaten-track’ adventures in the world, through some of the best hill and desert landscapes that Rajasthan has to offer. Overcoming challenges such as the heat, fatigue, saddle-sore, dehydration, lack of sleep and much much more, this will be an extremely difficult challenge.
I have decided to take on this challenge to help raise money for one certain individual who's character and smile is enough to make anybody weak at the knees.
Jack Rooke was born 2nd October 2008 weighing just 2lbs 12ounces. A MRI scan at 12months showed that Jack had a bleed in the brain which resulted in Jack having Cerebal Palsy. Jack cannot stand or walk unaided and has a walking frame to help him get around, but can only use this indoors. Like most 4 year olds, Jack loves Football and would one day love to be able to play.
In order to make this dream a reality, Jack requires a life changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). This operation will take away the tightness in Jack's muscles and allow him to walk by himself.
The operation will costs £35,000 and with the dedicated support from Jack's family, they are on their way hot this huge target. So please help support my challenge and allow me to support Jack's Will To Walk!!!
