My story
You're just about to donate for a more sustainable future !!!
In fact, we're just 8 guys biking 400km to promote sustainability. We are fundraising in order to purchase Eco-showers for our school, the United World College of the Adriatic (uwcad.it).
Eco-showers use water that is heated by the sun via panels, as opposed to using water heaters. This will help us reduce our energy usage, move our College and community towards a more sustainable future, and raise awareness within the community on energy and water usage.
As students of a UWC, we are given a week to create and carry out a project of our own. We eight students decided that we wanted to focus on an important aspect of the College's mission: a sustainable future. We wanted a project that would both raise awareness and demonstrate, in a concrete and tangible way, our commitment to this mission. From that, we decided on a bike ride as the best way to promote our college and sustainability. We worked closely with the College's Sustainability Group and decided that the installation of Eco-showers in our residences was the best project to connect sustainability with everyday life at the College.
If we reach our fundraising goal, we will be able to install new Eco-showers in two residences. We will need your help to get there!
