UPDATE (18 November 2009)
Hello Everyone!
Well my legs are getting stronger yet i feel weaker?! I'm covering a matter of 20 - 30miles a week in basic training prior to January 1st 2010! That is when it becomes really serious! A 5 month detox and an intermediate training plan should put me in the shape i need to be come the big day! I am hating the seasonal weather tho.
However....I STILL NEED MORE MONEY! And i intend on pushing the total to the peak by organising a Paintballing session in the Docklands - 2 February 2010. I intended on having this organised for a November event yet my timescales/ committments elsewhere have somewhat prevented this. An invitation will be distributed in due course - it's an event that should not be considered futile, i'm hoping this'll be the final nail in my £1,800.00 coffin!
UPDATE - 10th August 2009
Well what a weekend! Those who were able to join me in Colchester for the fundraising party of the century - thank you so much for all of your charitable donations. It has proved to be a powerful punch, smashing home 41% damage on the target!
Those that were either unavailable, slipped through the net of invitation, do not panic - there will be more events, i just need to decide what!
The raffle alone raised £180. There was some considerable generosity from my brother wo clearly wanted all the prizes! (He did very well) and on average £2.50 was spent per/person on extra raffle tickets. Legendary effort.
Again - if you visit this page, my picture shows a happy face from my holiday to Sharm, whilst i'm writing this, i cannot stop smiling because i am so happy with everyones effort at the weekend!
Until next time............
Lots of Love - Rob xx

Running 26.2miles is not the norm, it's a bit mental. It is however something that i've wanted to achieve for a long time. It conjunction with fulfilling my life goals i wanted to take the opportunity to do something good for others and my choice has been to do this for St John Ambulance. I have had many encounters with them throughout my life as a 'sportsman'. I think i can say sportsman, if not a little tongue in cheek!
There will be 1,400 volunteers from St John Ambulance at the London Marathon alone. They have helped hundreds of thousands of people in many different ways and can only imagine what help i may need when i finish this race. But i will finish the race, and achieve my goal, and raise money for a worthy cause whilst doing it.
I'd like to thank you in anticipation of your generosity and kindness. If you would like more information on St John Ambulance and the service they provide please visit:
