Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page

My name is Joanne (or RoboJo/SpiderJo) and since the age of 26 I have suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This debilitating disease changed my life, I had to give up work and motorcycling.

21 years on I've had 2 major joint replacements and 4 other surgeries to correct deformities caused by the RA, with more operations ahead. I am fortunate to have wonderful friends, GP, Rheumatology team and Orthopaedic surgeons who keep me going (even if it means I'm being turned into a cyborg!)

Motorcycling is the thing I miss the most since my RA  diagnosis, thinking it might never be possible for me to ride again. I became aware of The Motorcycle Experience after a tweet from Neil Spalding and after seeing the video it became a cause I want to support and hope you can help too.

It was a well kept secret of the joy that motorcycling brings and giving that back to someone is such a wonderful gift.
