My wife Katy has lost both her Father and Step Father to cancer and is a survivor of breast cancer herself so it seemed only right to make Cancer Research UK our first choice for raising money from this event.

The Three Rivers Challenge is a personal goal as we have always wanted to walk the River Severn and the Thames so why not make it a triple challenge and include the River Trent.

The aim is to walk all three rivers from source to the sea, a total distance of approximately 600 miles. Starting on the 21st October from the source of the Severn in Wales to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth, then from the source of the River Trent to where it enters the Humber in Lincolnshire. Then it's a run down to Gloucester to the start of the Thames. The walk will finish in London just beyond the Thames Barrier.

The goal is to complete this challenge in 30-35 days depending on weather conditions.
