Story
WELCOME SPORTS FANS
On September 20th 2009 I am going to attempt to run the BUPA Great North Run and will be raising money for the Youth Sport Trust.
WHY ME
When I was 12 years old I was a bit of a fat lad. If it was not for the fact I start to play football among others sports, I would have continued to sit around eating and playing video games all day long. I still play video games today and eat to many biscuits but, I’m much healthier thanks to my participation in sports. This is my opportunity too help young children find a sport and make their future a healthy future.
ITS FOR CHARITY MATE!
The Youth Sport Trust was established in 1994 and its mission is to build a brighter future for young people by enhancing the quality of their physical education (PE) and sporting opportunities.
Youth Sport Trust aims to:
o Increase young people’s participation and enjoyment of PE and school sport.
o Give young people the chance to experience and enjoy different types of activity at whatever level is right for them.
o Ensure youngsters receive the best teaching, coaching and resources possible and have the chance to progress if they show talent.
o Help young people to live healthy and active lives and to be the best they can be.
Youth Sport Trust achieves its aims and objectives through the educational sporting programmes that they produce. These are delivered through schools and are supported by a range of corporate partners, trusts and foundations and government departments. For more information, please visit www.youthsporttrust.org
