Not feeling too hot but managed a 2km swim. Have never done a crowded open water swim but after being kicked, bombed and smacked by various kids in the pool today I feel it can't be that much tougher! Full 20 week programme starting soon, up from 8-9 hours a week to 15 and I'm beginning to wonder why I want to do this so much :)

8am Christmas Eve and my first 2km swim, slow and my bum still sinks like its packed with lead, but so happy I managed it. Definitely time for a mince pie or two today!

Christmas time training in the rain. Wettest December on record means my bike is on its turbo trainer and now is a good time to hit the pool!

Two spin sessions and a swim session yesterday, circuits today. Really need to work on the swimming though, if only they'd let me wear flippers I'd be fine....

Managed a 19km run and 65km bike at the weekend in the crisp minus 3 weather! Frozen ears aside it was worth getting up for.
