Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've been lucky enough to be offered a place in the 2011 Brighton Marathon to run on behalf of the Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (Kent MSTC).
I am actively supporting the Kent MSTC in their endeavours to build a new Centre in Canterbury. My mother attends the Centre as she has MS (as did her late sister and father).
The charity has helped my mother to be more active and sociable whilst living with the illness. This includes being a member of the Red Wheelies, a disability scooter display team through the Therapy Centre.

Established in 1984, the Therapy Centre is a registered charity set up by people with MS for people with MS. The aim of the Therapy Centre is to help improve the quality of life for people with MS. This is done by providing advice, support, information, clinics, workshops and a range of practical therapies.
The Centre receives no Government assistance or other funding towards it's annual running costs, all of which is raised through donations and fundraising.
The existing Therapy Centre is housed in a prefabricated building which is nearing the end of its useful life and is no longer large enough to accommodate the facilities needed to meet the increasing demand for the therapies provided.
Therefore an appeal to raise £1.5m to develop and equip a new purpose-built Therapy Centre in Canterbury is underway. This is where my fundraising will go towards.
